Adult Psychotherapy

In my work with adults, I help individuals to address patterns that impact their ability to sense and get what they need out of their relationships, work, and creative life. We do this by looking at what is happening in the present as well as what went on in the past to set up certain ideas about one’s self and expectations of relationships. My style is warm, direct, curious, and collaborative. In addition to psychodynamic and attachment-based interventions, I incorporate skills-based approaches, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, where relevant to moving the work forward.

I often work with adults seeking support around:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Struggles at work

  • Trauma (acute and complex)

  • Perinatal mental health, including processing pregnancy loss, traumatic birth experiences, and postpartum depression & anxiety

  • Indecision and feeling stuck or blocked

  • Exploring cultural/racial identity and navigating cultural differences within a couple/family
